Repro Antique Sampler

Let’s think Spring! Tulip, the happy little bunny, is hopping us into the Spring season with her golden tulip and olive border, while burgundy flowers and her full sampler alphabet complete the scene. The alphabet has been stitched in a milk-chocolate tone thread.

Tulip has been professionally double framed using a 1″ wide chocolate linen and bronze metal inner frame, finishing with a 2.75″ wide antiqued ivory outer frame, all under museum-grade non-glare glass. The back is finished with framing paper, rubber bumpers and a wire hanger.

Punch Needle

This pattern was designed by The Old Tattered Flag, punched by myself using Valdani threads and then attached to an antique wooden step stool. I’ve propped the stool onto its end so that Buster may be part of your decorative grouping.

As shown in the pictures, this stool is pleasantly distressed from use over the years. Additional photographs of the step stool are available on request.

Punch Needle

Saint Nick is a punchneedle piece designed by The Old Tattered Flag. I punched him using all variegated Valdani threads, with a fabric binding and fabric on the back for a completed finish.

He is mounted to a wooden hornbook and dressed with greens, a small pinecone and ribbons. He would love to meet you and help you celebrate the Christmas season.

Punch Needle on Antique

This metal and wood antique seed scoop is the holder of a Fall pumpkin. Using Valdani variegated threads, I punched this pumpkin through a harvest gold piece of wool and finished off the back with distressed fabric.

The pumpkin is affixed to the scoop with magnets, so the stitched piece may be removed and the scoop used a different way in other groupings.

Wool Applique

This hand-stitched wool square penny mat measures large at 21″ square — she would make a wonderful addition to an antique table or the back of an upholstered piece of furniture.

Completely comprised of 100% wool, the mat consists of 36 triple sets of wool pennies buttonhole stitched together. The penny stacks are then stitched to a black scalloped wool background, which is stitched to a mustard background and finally to a black wool ground, with a solid black backing on the reverse. For added interest, each outer corner has been dog-eared forward and attached with buttons.

Punch Needle

This 12″ × 12″ black frame is holding a punchneedled Witchy Hat, hand stitched to a rusty orange piece of wool. Place her on a shelf, include her as part of a grouping, or hang her near your coat rack.

Whatever you choose, she is sure to add a spell of Halloween spirit to your home — just be sure to have her broom close by!

Antique Assemblage

For your consideration is this accent spool lamp, comprised of a large antique spool with seven threaded antique spools surrounding it, secured by a ribbon and topped with the lampshade.
